Magnolia West High School was forced to close its campus from Tuesday to Thursday due to a malfunction with its water wells.
Sorting out the details
Denise Meyers, MISD assistant superintendent of Communications, said that the campus HVAC systems rely on the district water wells to operate. The malfunction affected both running water and air conditioning on campus.
District crews and water delivery trucks arrived Tuesday to conduct repairs and fill the water tanks to capacity. The repairs were deemed complete on Wednesday, and MISD officially reopened the campus on Thursday.
