During its May 13 regular meeting, the Magnolia ISD board of trustees approved raises and one-time retention payments for the district's staff.
The big picture
All MISD nonteaching staff will receive a 1% pay increase, according to the May 13 agenda packet. Pay increases for teachers will be staggered based on years of experience and are as follows:
- 0-5 years: 1% raise
- 6-15 years: 1.5% raise
- 16-25 years: 2% raise
- 26-plus years: 3% raise
Additionally, all employees who return for the 2024-25 school year and are employed as of Sept. 1 will receive a one-time retention payment of a minimum of $500 on their Sept. 15 paycheck, according to the agenda packet.
