Magnolia Education Foundation awards $48K in classroom grants

The Magnolia Education Foundation awarded $48,208 in classroom grants to 24 teachers across seven campuses in Magnolia ISD, according to a Feb. 10 news release.

In a nutshell

After reviewing 46 grant applications, the foundation’s Grant Committee approved funding for 14 creative projects, according to the news release. Some of the projects funded for 2025 include:

• $573 for a Chompsaw at Nichols Sawmill Elementary
• $10,000 for updated audio-video program at Magnolia High School
• $2,110 for a Culture Hallway at Magnolia Intermediate School
• $1,300 for the creation of a Crochet Club at Audubon Elementary School
• $4,734 DNA Discovery Lab at Magnolia High School
• $1,546 for Algebra Extravaganza at Magnolia West High School
