Sno Angels SNO Balls celebrated its grand opening on Oct. 17, bringing New Orleans-style snowball desserts to Main Street in Tomball.
What they offer
The shop serves snowballs, which are mounds of syrup-infused shaved ice that can be enhanced with other add-ins. Customers can mix together up to three flavors from more than 50 options and stuff their creation with ice cream and top it off with sweet cream and other toppings.
Beyond the frozen desserts, the shop sells cookies, jewelry, hats and more from other local businesses inside.
Owner David Marquez said it’s important to him to have space to help other local businesses grow.

Sno Angels SNO Balls sits at the corner of Main Street and South Magnolia Street with parking in the back.
The building was an old insurance agency and that was extensively remodeled. The business was one the City Council had approved in October for a $40,000 grant to rehabilitate the facade.
With the remodel, the building has been blanketed with pink, white and green paint, handmade artwork and new signage. There’s seating inside and outside to settle in and unwind with a snowball. Visitors on the go can order a snowball at the shop's drive-thru.
Marquez was in the Air Force and later became a federal firefighter working with NASA before retiring. The family also owns the Agape Salon in Tomball.
