The city of Magnolia will host its annual Corks & Canvas event on Saturday featuring area wines and beers paired with regional art. Here's what you need to know to navigate the festival:
What is Corks & Canvas?
The event is an "evening of bottles, brews and brushes," city officials said. Guests can paint and sample wine as well as interact with local artists or enjoy live music. “Artists will also be along The Stroll with their works to visit," Event Co-chair and Vendor Coordinator Brenda Escalon said. "Our entertainers will offer a variety of live music—from soft rock [acoustics] with Willie Wall to rocking favorites with DJ David Pipkin. It should be a very relaxing and enjoyable evening."
Time, location, admission
The festival offers free admission from 3-8 p.m. on Saturday, May 13. Vendors will be set up along The Stroll, located in downtown Magnolia from FM 1488 to Sanders Street.
