A new feature added to Riva Row Boat House last year is now available at Lakes Edge Boat House at 1970 Hughes Landing Blvd., The Woodlands, according to a township news release.
The bikes, which allow users to propel a water vehicle by pedaling, will be available in time for Memorial Day weekend for $30 per hour and $5 for each additional hour when purchased in advance.
Reservations can be made at www.lakesedgeboathouse.com or www.rivarowboathouse.com. The boathouse's hours are 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Wednesday through Monday. The facility is closed Tuesdays. The last boat departure each day is 7 p.m. during the summer, according to the township.
The bikes have baskets for users to stow a bag or cell phone as well as cupholders. The single-person bikes have a weight limit of 350 pounds and also carry a restriction against glass, pets and alcohol. Riders must wear a lifejacket and pedal from a forward-facing, seated position, according to the township.
