Several nonprofit organizations in Montgomery County held events in late summer or recently announced upcoming fundraisers or events. Here's a look at some news from area nonprofit organizations, private schools and community organizations in Montgomery County and The Woodlands area and their activities.
Denim and Diamonds Gala benefits Inspiration Ranch
Inspiration Ranch held its fundraising Denim and Diamonds Gala on Sept. 19.
Inspiration Ranch honored Amerigo's Grille as well as Carol and Michael Watford for their commitment to the nonprofit.
Inspiration Ranch provides hope and improves the lives of those with physical, mental, and emotional challenges through equine-assisted services.
"Year after year we are humbled by the support shown from the gala attendees and companies that join us," said MG Tindall, president and CEO of Inspiration Ranch, in a statement.
The Walk raises funds for Interfaith of The Woodlands
The Walk: The Art of Giving 2026 raised $785,000 in support of Interfaith of The Woodlands, the most successful Walk to date, on Aug. 22, according to a news release. The Black & White Ball was presented by Sewell Automotive and Wells Fargo.
The runway show held as part of the event recognized The Walk’s 2026 Community Champions: Linsey and Ryan Bibler; Cindy and Craig Heiser; Jo Anne and Troy Johnson; Kristen Byrnes and Carrie Greenberg; and Jill Simms and Sondra Lagasse.
Proceeds benefit Interfaith programs, which provide critical assistance to families, seniors and individuals experiencing crisis in South Montgomery County.
The Woodlands U launches
The Woodlands U, a new nonprofit initiative, was created to educate the residents of The Woodlands Township and the general public on the history and governance of The Woodlands, according to a news release.
The inaugural program of The Woodlands U will be a seven-session presentation this fall, with the next sessions scheduled for Oct. 6, 13, 20 and 27. Attendance is $75 per person, and more information can be found at www.thewoodlandsu.com
Houston Area (North) Christian College Fair planned
The Houston Area (North) Christian College Fair will bring representatives from approximately 30 Christian colleges and universities for prospective students and their families to attend. High school students in grades 9–12 and their families are invited to attend, regardless of whether they attend public school, private school, or home school.
Montgomery County Food Bank holds food drive, plans event
Montgomery County Food Bank held a virtual food drive in September, for Hunger Action Month. Donations can still be made at the Fall Food Drive link.
It will also hold its Flourish and Nourish Luncheon this fall. The event is presented by Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital and will take place Oct. 22 at 11 a.m. at The Blue Magnolia at 1 Whispering Pines St., Magnolia. Attendees can register here.
The Woodlands Car Club to celebrate anniversary
On the heels of its annual Boots vs. Badges Softball game on Sept. 27, The Woodlands Car Club plans a community event Nov. 14 as part of its 25th anniversary celebration, at Becks Prime. Car enthusiasts, sponsors, charities and fellow car groups will gather for an evening recognizing the automotive community that has supported TWCC throughout its 25-year history. Since 2001, the club has contributed more than $175,000 to over 100 nonprofit organizations across Montgomery County, according to information from the club.

Lone Star College Golf Tournament planned
Lone Star College Foundation will host its 33rd annual Golf Tournament Nov. 16 at The Woodlands Country Club.
Last year’s event raised a record-breaking $202,085 to support student scholarships and programming at Lone Star College System, according to a release. It will include an afternoon golf clinic, and an awards ceremony and reception will close out the day.

Love Fosters Hope announces 2027 gala
Love Fosters Hope on Sept. 23 announced its upcoming 2027 Night of Hope Gala, Best Day Ever, presented by Waste Connections, for March 6.
The event theme celebrates the moments children and teens experience at camp as well as its lasting impact. Love Fosters Hope offers four summer camps as well as year-round mentorship, camper reunions and social gatherings. The organization offers support for young adults aging out of foster care.
In 2026 alone, 284 volunteers served at Love Fosters Hope camps and invested 32,893 volunteer hours in children and teens impacted by foster care.
