On Sept. 5, the luxury retailer Nordstrom opened its second Houston-area location at The Woodlands Mall. Construction, in the space formerly occupied by Sears, took two years to complete.
The store features a modern design, the mall's only windows in a store and an array of shopper amenities, including a phone-charging station, coffee bar and full-service restaurant.
"As our customers' definition of service evolves, we wanted to be sure we were appropriately evolving our store environments in order to remain modern and relevant in their eyes," Nordstrom spokesman John Bailey said. "Our store will feature a clean, beautiful, single-surface floor throughout to give us the flexibility to adjust and evolve departments depending on what our customers in The Woodlands want over time."
The restaurant, Bazille, is the third dining facility Nordstrom has opened in one of its stores. Bazille features bistro cuisine, a full bar, fresh salads, specialty entres, signature cocktails, a wine list, homemade desserts and a kids' menu.
