The Woodlands Township is seeking volunteers to fill several vacant positions on the township's Residential Design Review Committee for the villages of Creekside Park and Indian Springs, with a deadline of Aug. 7 for interested parties to apply.
To serve on the committees, volunteers must own property in and reside in the respective village.
The background
The RDRC acts as a design and review group representing residential viewpoints as part of the evaluation and approval process, upholding The Woodlands' Residential Development Standards for home design and renovation requests, according to information from the township.
The committees include at least three people elected by village residents and property owners, and they serve one-year terms.
How it works
The boards with open positions meet on the following days:
- The Creekside Park committee meets the fourth Thursday of each month at 5:30 p.m.
- The Indian Springs committee meets the fourth Thursday of each month at 6 p.m.
Those interested may obtain an application online at www.thewoodlandstownship-tx.gov/RDRC.
Applications must be received by 5 p.m. Aug. 7 and can be:
- Dropped off at The Woodlands Township Town Hall, 2801 Technology Forest Blvd., The Woodlands
- Mailed to The Woodlands Township at 2801 Technology Forest Blvd., The Woodlands, TX 77381, and received by the deadline.
The appointments will be made at the next meeting of the RDRCs at their regularly scheduled meetings in August, according to a news release.
