Oak Ridge North City Council accepted a certificate of substantial completion on its new city hall from Identity Built LLC and approved payment for further improvements for the future city hall during its Sept. 28 meeting.

A closer look

The city council approved the city hall project in late 2024, and work was scheduled to begin after the completion of the Robinson Road realignment project. The city council accepted a certificate of substantial completion concerning underground infrastructure of the future city hall site.

The council also approved payment for horizontal improvements on the site totaling $64,333, which covers site work such as paving, drainage and related infrastructure. The city hall project is projected to be completed by April 2027, according to a Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation filing.

Also on the agenda

The Oak Ridge North City Council passed an ordinance pertaining to the lead content of plumbing connected to the city’s water system to bring city ordinances in line with Texas Commission on Environmental Quality standards. It also approved payment for repairs to the Marilyn Edgar Park Pool totaling $26,852.50.
