Formed in 2024, local band and frequent Rock the Row performer The Harris County Band fuses Latin roots with a contemporary sound. Community Impact interviewed the band, which will perform Nov. 5 at Hughes Landing in The Woodlands.
How would you describe your sound?
“Our sound consists of multiple genres combined," the band said in a statement. "I’d say the majority of our roots include Latin-based inspirations, but we are able to go with the flow and switch into a more contemporary sound.”
What inspired you to form the band?
“The drive to form a band came from years upon years of working with different groups, usually as a drummer," band leader Armando J. Garcia said. "I always noticed things that I wanted to do differently but was never able to achieve them for our group.”
What has been your most memorable performance so far?
“I think the most memorable performance up to date has been one of our Rock the Row performances," Garcia said on behalf of the group. "Our lineup at the time was so tight musically, and the audience-to-band interactions were just excellent."
