Conroe ISD is the largest school district serving The Woodlands area, with 66,000 students projected to enroll for the 2020-21 school year. CISD has grown by more than 10% since 2016. Tomball ISD, meanwhile, has grown by more than 22% in the same time period. All three districts have a smaller percentage of economically disadvantaged students than the state average.

Student enrollment
Conroe ISD started out the school year expecting about 66,000 students, while Tomball and Magnolia ISDs expected enrollment to climb by just a few students in the 2020-21 school year.
