Paying tribute to Hollywood legend Audrey Hepburn, Omar and Denise Khan opened The Audrey Restaurant and Bar in The Woodlands in 2023 as a unique concept that fuses classic American dishes, European-inspired refinement, and a love of cinema under one roof.
Three years later, Omar Khan said the two plan to expand with a new location in Post Oak this summer, in Houston.
The backstory
With a passion in cinematography, Omar Khan said he has been in the cinema and entertainment industry since the age of 13. Years later, after getting married to Denise Khan, their shared passion for cinema led them to start their first cinema concept, Star Cinema Grill, a full service dine-in cinema.
Further planting roots in the industry, the Khans acquired ownership of State Fare Kitchen and Bar in The Woodlands in 2018.
In, 2023 Omar and Denise Khan founded The Audrey Restaurant and Bar to offer an upscale restaurant concept where customers could enjoy an elegant dinner and a movie in one evening.

At The Audrey Restaurant and Bar, customers can expect to find comfortable seating and intimate spaces designed to feel timeless in a warm and welcoming space reminiscent of the 1960s era.
“Design choices were curated with the mindset of encouraging connection, celebrations and being female-centric,” Omar Khan said. “We really want people to think of it as a gathering place for the neighborhood where they can come and enjoy friends and family time together.”

Looking ahead
Omar Khan said at the new Post Oak location customers can expect the same timeless and elegant concept offered in The Woodlands. With a larger space offered at Post Oak, Khan said the new location is about 2,000 square feet larger than the original location and will offer a private room with a capacity of 24 seats.
Creating 75-100 jobs for the Houston area community, Khan said the new location is about 90% staffed as of press time.
Designed in collaboration with Denise Khan and global web icon Laura Loreman Interior Design Studio, Omar Khan said the new location will boast a similar feel with elements unique to the area.
