Officials said a new Whataburger location will open by Oct. 5 in Shenandoah.

The opening follows a $1.4 million renovation that wrapped up on Aug. 3, according to a Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation filing.
The restaurant will feature local iconography and digital menu boards and will have 65 employees, officials said.
The Texas-based fast-food chain specializes in hamburgers and is best known for its eponymous burger in addition to chicken strips, chicken sandwiches and salads.
Whataburger also serves breakfast from 11 p.m. to 11 a.m.
