Don Chuy Tortilleria to open in The Woodlands area in January

Don Chuy Tortilleria, a new concept restaurant in The Woodlands by the family-owned La Cocina de Roberto, will open in January, company officials announced in a news release.

The new restaurant will be located on the South I-45 service road north of Sawdust Road. The location will offer freshly made tortillas with a variety of flavors as well as prepackaged meats by the pound, salsas and a dine-in option.

“We are so excited to introduce a modern tortilleria to our customers in The Woodlands," owner Roberto Rubio said in the release.

In addition to La Cocina de Roberto, the family has a catering business and a mobile restaurant truck for special events.

“These last few years have been wonderful," Rubio said in the release. “We’ve gotten to know so many friends and neighbors here in The Woodlands, and we just love our customers.”

“Our motto is ‘Hecho con Amor,'" co-owner Claudia Rubio said. “Roberto and I really believe that making food with love is the key to our success. Our children and friends work with us, and together we make sure our customers feel something different when they choose one of our restaurants.”
