Country singer and songwriter Karen Waldrup combines classic country sounds and modern country music with performances in over 15 countries.
Though originally from Lousiana, Waldrup has family residing in The Woodlands and visits as often as she can, she said. Waldrup performs at The Woodlands local venues including Dosey Doe-The Big Barn.
How did you start creating music?
It all kind of starts with ... the real passion of music alone. and the rest of it just kind of comes along with it. ... It really started from just actually loving music, loving what it feels like to sing, loving what it feels like to write songs ... and church was a huge, huge thing for me, because it was just so stress free. You know, we just got to go and sing for God. And that's really where I learned how to sing.
