The Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce has rebranded to the Fort Bend Regional Partnership as the organization begins a new chapter across the Greater Fort Bend region.
What's happening?
The new identity reflects a strategic shift in how the chamber leads, convenes and advocates for the region's economy in the evolving Fort Bend County region, President and CEO Keri Schmidt said in a Feb. 3 news release.
“The Fort Bend Regional Partnership better reflects the scale of our work and the forward-looking role we play in shaping work in critical areas like policy, infrastructure, workforce and economic opportunity,” Schmidt said.
The details
The rebrand aligns with the work the chamber is already doing with several key county growth areas, including:
- Business growth and innovation
- Policy advocacy
- Education and workforce alliance
- Infrastructure and development
- Health care and resilience
Additionally, the partnership will continue its existing programming, advocacy efforts and member services, per the release.

“Our work has outgrown the traditional definition of a chamber,” incoming chairman Tariq Zafar said in the release. “This rebrand allows us to tell a more accurate story about who we are, what we do, and the impact we are building for the next generation of Fort Bend businesses and residents.”
