1) Beltway 8 improvements
Phase 2E of the ongoing Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality, or CMAQ, project includes improvements to the Beltway 8 frontage road between West Gulf Bank Road and TC Jester Boulevard, including traffic signal modifications.
Timeline: Aug. 13, 2019-March 2022

2) Champion Drive upgrades
Champion Drive is under construction between FM 1960 and Cypress Creek to upgrade the road from a two-lane asphalt roadway to a two-lane concrete pavement section with improved drainage.
Timeline: Sept. 24, 2018-April 5, 2020
Cost: $13.2 million

3) Cypress Station Drive, Hollow Tree Lane intersection improvements
Precinct 4 is designing a project to install a traffic signal at the Cypress Station Drive and Hollow Tree Lane intersection. Pamela Rocchi, director of Precinct 4’s Capital Improvement Projects Division, said county officials will issue a notice to proceed with construction before the end of 2019.
Timeline: fourth quarter 2019-first quarter 2020

4) Spring Cypress Road improvements
In Phase 1A of CMAQ-4, Spring Cypress Road will be upgraded with traffic signal modifications between Telge Road and Louetta Glen Drive. Traffic signals will also be installed at the following Spring Cypress intersections: Chaseloch Street, Glenn Haven Estates Drive, Carrot Street/Stone Forest Drive and Foster Road.
Timeline: March 11, 2019-June 3, 2020

5) Hwy. 249 improvements
Phase 2D of CMAQ-4 includes traffic signal modifications and intersection improvements along the Hwy. 249 frontage road between Antoine and Spring Cypress roads.

Cost: $3.61 million

6) Gosling Road Segment 3 expansion
Precinct 4 plans to seek bid authorization in the fourth quarter of 2020 for the final design phase of a project to upgrade the two-lane asphalt section of Gosling Road between West Rayford Road and Creekside Forest Drive to a four-lane boulevard with drainage.

7) Treaschwig Road widening
Precinct 4 is designing a project to widen Treaschwig Road from a two-lane asphalt roadway to a four-lane concrete boulevard section between Aldine Westfield Road and Birnam Woods Boulevard. The project will also improve drainage and add a traffic signal at Trilby Way. Precinct 4 plans to seek bid authorization in the first quarter of 2020, Rocchi said.
