Area nonprofit organizations, churches and schools have set up benefit events, funds and donation drives in the days after Hurricane Harvey flooded the region, including several events this weekend.

Events

Trinity Klein Lutheran Church is accepting donations on Friday from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at 5201 Spring Cypress Road, Spring. A list of needed items can be found on its Facebook page, including pantry items, nonperishable goods and cleaning supplies. No clothing or bedding is accepted. Buy the Glass Wine Bar and Lounge is accepting donations from 4-9 p.m. Friday at 19620 Kuykendahl Road, Spring. Watt Houston Flood Relief fund. Donations accepted include mops, brooms, ventilator masks, paper towels, disposable gloves, bleach, wipes, hand sanitizer, mosquito repellent and water.

Spring ISD Education Foundation has set up a set up the Harvey Relief Fund for students and staff at http://give2springkids.org. Spring Klein Chamber of Commerce is accepting donations for hurricane relief through the "donate" button on its website. Houston Northwest Chamber of Commerce set up a donation drive to help local businesses at www.youcaring.com/supportnwharris. Northwest Assistance Ministries, located at 15555 Kuykendahl Road, Houston, has started a Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund at https://15496.thankyou4caring.org/flood-relief.
