1. Tomball Tollway
The paving of the Tomball Tollway from Spring Cypress Road to Canyon Gate Pointe Drive is 95 percent complete. The retaining walls and mainlane plaza structure are fully constructed. Installation of clay liner at the detention pond is complete. Paving on the north end of the project began in late November, and the retaining walls are 95 percent complete. The paving between the southern intersection with Business 249 and Alice Road as well as the segment from Alice Road to FM 2920 are both 90 percent complete. The hanging of bridge beams at Willow Creek and Alice Road is complete, and the hanging of bridge beams from Holderrieth Road to Business 249 is 50 percent complete. Phase I of the Harris County Toll Road Authority project will be a six-lane—three in each direction—electronically monitored tollway in the median between existing Hwy. 249 main lanes. It will run from just south of Spring Cypress Road to just north of FM 2920.
Timeline: Project is estimated to be complete in spring 2015.
