1. The Grand Parkway
Segments F1, F2 and G
Three segments—F1, F2 and G—are under simultaneous construction on Houston's third outer loop, which runs through Spring. The segments stretch from Hwy. 290 to Hwy. 59 and feature overpasses and interchanges at Hwy. 290, Hwy. 249 and I-45. Construction is well underway at the interchange with I-45, while work could begin in October on an underpass underneath FM 2920. For more information, visit

2. Tomball Tollway
Approximately 90 percent of the main lanes of the Tomball Tollway from Spring Cypress Road to Canyon Gate Pointe Drive have been paved. Construction of the toll gantry near Northpointe Boulevard is almost complete, and the base layer has been installed to pave main lanes from Business 249 to Alice Road. The Harris County Toll Road Authority project will be a six-lane—three in each direction—electronically monitored tollway that will run from Spring Cypress Road to FM 2920.
Timeline: Project is estimated to be complete in spring 2015.
Cost: $170 million

3. Spring Stuebner Road widening
With Segments A and B completed, the final segment of the Spring Stuebner Road widening—from Falvel Road to I-45—is about 64 percent complete. SER Construction, the project's contractor, has completed 70 percent of the concrete work and 65 percent of the drainage for the widening. Some concrete pours, drainage work and signalization work will be completed before the project is finished at the end of the year.
Timeline: Segment C is scheduled for completion Dec. 31.
Cost: $8.91 million for Segment C

4. TC Jester signal installation
The installation of 10 traffic lights and other improvements along TC Jester Boulevard between FM 1960 and FM 2920 continues with the project estimated to be 50 percent complete. Drill shafts have been installed as well as mast arms and span wires at Chapel Bend Drive, Aspen Bend Drive, Kennonview Drive, Glenmere Lane, Winding Ridge Drive, Center Court Drive and Springbrook Hollow Drive. Installation of traffic signal systems at Alvin A Klein, Pinelakes Boulevard and Spring Creek Oaks Drive are still required as well as the installation of traffic signal heads and fiber optics.
Timeline: Project is scheduled for completion May 22, 2015.

5. Holzwarth Road
The northern segment of the Holzwarth Road extension, from north of Emerson Ridge Drive to Spring Stuebner Road, is estimated to be nearly 65 percent completed. Contractor Allgood Construction has completed about 80 percent of the concrete work and 90 percent of the drainage. Work left to be completed includes two more concrete pours and some low-impact bioswales, or storm water runoff conveyance systems. The extension includes a four-lane roadway and storm sewer system.
Timeline: North section scheduled for completion Oct. 20, south section completed
Cost: $1.93 million
