Riley Fuzzel Road will be widened from two to four lanes between Elm Street and the area west of Hardy Toll Road in Spring. The project is in the design phase, and the county will seek bids in the fourth quarter of 2017. The project also includes realigning Riley Fuzzel Road to remove sharp turns in the roadway, the closure of the railroad crossing at Caroline Street and the opening of a new crossing north of Riley Fuzzel Road.
