Klein ISD officials said they expect student enrollment to increase by more than 7,000 students by the end of 2025. Demographers Population and Survey Analysts project construction of 7,893 multifamily units and 7,741 single-family units  in the district within that time period. The district has built two new schools to accommodate growth. Klein Cain High School opened in 2017, and Hofius Intermediate School will open in 2019.
