Parents can now take an extra step to protect their children from kidnapping and other threats. Operation Kidsafe, a child safety center, opened April 26 at 18478 Kuykendahl Road, Spring. The mobile center will be at this location for one year, and it provides children with Amber Alert-ready safety cards. The cards contain the child's 10 digital fingerprints and a headshot, which are captured on-site and can be handed to law enforcement in a family emergency.
