Former Cypress Creek Emergency Medical Services CEO Brad England has filed a lawsuit against his former company for money he alleges CCEMS owes him for his employment contract.
England retired from CCEMS on May 27. According to his petition to the Harris County District Court, his contract agreement was to last for 10 years from Jan. 1, 2013, to Dec. 31, 2023. However, because the listed dates actually constitute an 11-year term, England interpreted the contract to mean 11 years.
When he retired, CCEMS agreed to pay England the amount owed to him for the remainder of his contract, according to the petition. However, England alleges CCEMS only paid him through Dec. 31, 2022.
In a Sept. 6 press release, current CCEMS CEO Wren Nealy criticized the lawsuit.
