Following a week of budget hearings in Harris County, several commissioners will be holding town halls across the county to accept feedback from residents on how the county's over $2.6 billion budget should be utilized in fiscal year 2026-27.
What residents need to know
Harris County Commissioners Adrian Garcia, Tom Ramsey and Lesley Briones will each host a community town hall to discuss county budget initiatives and get feedback on how residents would like to see public funds utilized. The upcoming meetings include:

July 21, 6-7:30 p.m.

Harris County Precinct 3
July 20, 6-8 p.m.
6827 Cypresswood Drive, Spring
Harris County Precinct 4
July 28, 5:30-7 p.m.
3599 Westcenter Drive, Houston
During the town halls, residents will receive an update on the budget from county staff and be able to ask questions regarding how the county will allocate funding.

Commissioners received budget requests from county departments July 13-16 ahead of the July 30 and Aug. 6 Commissioners Court meetings, where commissioners will discuss the county tax rate and proposed budget.
Meetings are held at 9 a.m. at the Harris County Administration Building located at 1001 Preston St. in Houston.
