The Klein ISD board of trustees passed a resolution recommending residents use Klein, Texas, as the address for ZIP codes 77379, 77389 and 77391 at a Jan. 11 board meeting.
The resolution recommends that residents living within the 88-square-mile KISD boundary refer to their community as Klein, Texas. It also recommends residents within the ZIP codes use Klein as their postal city and all buildings use Klein, said Judy Rimato, associate superintendent for communications for KISD.
The idea originated from the board of trustees, Rimato said.
“There are some districts where the name of the district is the name of the town, and Klein is in four different towns, so sometimes we get lost,”she said.
