Husband-and-wife team Dr. Michael and Mary Ann Landry combined their backgrounds in dentistry and commercial aviation, respectively, to create a hospitality-oriented atmosphere at their clinic, Consultants in Dental Aesthetics, Mary Ann said.
Michael, who serves as the clinic’s chief operating officer and clinical director, has been a dentist for 41 years while Mary Ann, the CEO and chief visionary officer, previously worked as an international flight attendant and training director for a commercial airline. The couple said they emphasize comfort at their practice to help patients relax.
“Health care has not ever been something that people had choices in,” Michael said. “You showed up, you took the abuse that you got ... but nobody really [treated] you as a human being. So we changed all that.”
In January 2021, the Landrys’ current clinic opened on Louetta Road in Spring. The clinic is filled with amenities, such as silk blankets, essential oils and paraffin wax hand treatments.
