Woman-owned and GAF-certified roofing company, Klear Kut Roofing, brings a hands-on approach to roof replacements, repairs and maintenance. Founder Krystle Wear started her career in recruiting before entering the roofing industry as a single mom, seeking a career with greater flexibility and earning potential. After gaining hands-on experience at a larger company, she launched Klear Kut Roofing with a focus on local service.

“[Owning Klear Kut Roofing], I can be creative and I can be the sweaty, hardworking person outside. It’s so cool that I get to be all-in-one,” Wear said.

What roofing issues are common in the Montgomery area?

Montgomery’s weather and natural surroundings can create several challenges for local homeowners, including:

  • Strong winds

  • Pine needles

  • Algae

  • Tree limbs

To combat this, Klear Kut Roofing uses shingles designed for the area's wind conditions and can help homeowners address buildup and damage before it becomes a larger problem. The company also trims surrounding trees when replacing a roof to help prevent branches from scratching new shingles.

What other services does Klear Kut Roofing provide?

The company offers full roof replacements and repairs, along with gutters and gutter guards. It also provides siding projects, home cleanouts and maintenance services.

Maintenance is a major part of Klear Kut Roofing's approach. Wear said regular upkeep can help extend a roof's life and identify issues such as lifted or cracked shingles, granule loss and deteriorating caulking.

Because of this, the company offers a roof maintenance package to homeowners, as well as to apartment and townhome complexes. Pricing for apartments and townhomes varies depending on factors like roof height, but the package remains affordable. For example, one complex the company currently serves is charged just $55 per building, per month.

Can Klear Kut Roofing help with insurance claims?

When Wear meets with a homeowner, she starts by walking the perimeter of the property and looking for signs that the roof may have sustained damage that could qualify for insurance coverage. She then gets on the roof to examine the roofing system and documents what she finds with photos.

After the inspection, Wear walks the homeowner through her findings and recommendations. If an insurance claim is appropriate, she helps with the process from beginning to end, including starting the claim and helping the homeowner communicate with the insurance company.

“I walk homeowners through the insurance process, and I think there are probably 10 or 11 steps to it,” Wear said, “Not everybody has to take the full 10 steps, but I'll walk them through from the beginning to the end.”

What’s new and what’s next at Klear Kut Roofing?

Klear Kut Roofing has recently expanded its services to include Christmas and permanent lighting installations. The permanent systems are installed along the home's eaves and can be changed between colors and settings using a remote.

Additionally, as the company grows, both Wear and her son are looking to help local dogs in need.

“I would love this company to grow into a large operation because I want to constantly give back to dogs. There's such a huge dog problem in Cleveland. They don't have an animal shelter there,” Wear said. “There is a lady who I currently partner with, and I help her with transportation. She has probably saved 60 dogs within the last month, and she's a street feeder. I would love to be able to constantly send money to her or to anything dog related in Houston. That's a huge purpose for me.”

Overall, Wear hopes to provide an easy and positive experience for all of her customers.

“I want customers to remember the great service we provide,” Wear said. “I naturally want to give to people. I never want customers worried, confused or unsure.”

What is Klear Kut Roofing?

Klear Kut Roofing is a woman-owned, GAF-certified roofing company serving the Montgomery area. Founded by Krystle Wear, the company handles roof replacements, repairs, maintenance, gutters and gutter guards, siding, and home cleanouts. It is available 24/7 and can be reached at 832-469-2885 or [email protected].

What roofing problems are most common in the Montgomery area?

Montgomery homeowners most frequently deal with damage and buildup from strong winds, pine needles, algae and overhanging tree limbs. Klear Kut Roofing uses shingles rated for the area's wind conditions, provides algae cleaning and trims surrounding trees when replacing a roof to keep branches from scratching new shingles. Wear said regular maintenance can also catch early signs of trouble, such as lifted or cracked shingles, granule loss and deteriorating caulking, before they turn into larger repairs or replacements.

Can Klear Kut Roofing help with an insurance claim?

Yes. Wear starts with a perimeter walk and a full roof inspection, documenting her findings with photos. If the damage qualifies for insurance coverage, she helps the homeowner initiate the claim and guides them through the full process, which has 10 to 11 steps depending on the situation. Not every claim requires all steps, but she stays involved from start to finish.

Does Klear Kut Roofing offer maintenance plans?

The company offers a commercial maintenance package for townhomes and apartment complexes priced at approximately $500 per month as of October 2026. It includes monthly visits to clear debris from up to nine buildings and inspect the roofs for developing issues. For residential homeowners, the company also provides ongoing maintenance and repairs as part of its regular services.
