Walking into Bricks & Minifigs - Spring feels less like browsing a toy store and more like stepping into a place where curiosity takes over. Shelves are filled with the most expansive LEGO® collection in the Houston Metro, and it’s all for sale.

As an authorized LEGO retailer, you will find current LEGO boxed sets you would see at a normal retailer. But beyond the norm, there are rare and retired sets, thousands of LEGO minifigures, custom accessories and more, all while conversations about LEGO themes and creative building happen as naturally as transactions at the register.

As BAM Spring celebrates its second anniversary Aug. 1, owners Abe & Jessica Hughes are reflecting on the community that helped transform their small business into a top-performing BAM franchise among more than 300 stores nationwide.

Bricks & Minifigs-Spring: A different way to shop for LEGO®

Unlike traditional retailers, Bricks & Minifigs Spring offers more than a place to buy a boxed set. The store creates a space for builders to explore a wider variety of LEGO products, connect with other enthusiasts and get help from passionate employees.

BAM Spring carries new-in-box, prebuilt, current and retired LEGO products, so customers can find options at every price point, whether they’re looking for an affordable way to start building, searching for a hard-to-find collectible or adding to an existing collection. The buy, sell and trade model allows customers to bring in LEGO collections to sell for cash, or exchange for store credit and discover something new in return.

Beyond the products, the store serves as a gathering place for LEGO enthusiasts. Employees can help shoppers identify sets, answer questions about collections and share their knowledge of 70+ years on LEGO history.

The store also offers families a chance to step away from technology and engage in hands-on creativity. Whether following instructions to build a set or creating something new, LEGO encourages imagination, problem-solving and connection.

The secret to success

For Abe & Jessica, BAM Spring’s success stems from combining a passion for LEGO with skills developed before opening the store.

In addition to being business owners, both have a storied career in the travel & hospitality industry. That experience shaped their approach to customer relationships, focusing on creating an environment where every visitor feels welcomed, supported and excited to return.

"We wanted to create more than a place where people buy LEGO," Abe said. "We wanted an experience where families, collectors and LEGO fans can connect and share their passion."

Two years after opening, BAM Spring is celebrating its second anniversary. The Hughes family credits the success to the community’s support.
