During his 20 years in the design industry, Groovy Hues co-owner Matt Haney said he observed it was difficult to find a trusted home service company that would show up on time and not mess up other areas of the home while painting. His desire to provide a better experience was the driving force behind opening Groovy Hues Southlake with his wife, Michelle.

“You're hiring us not [just] to paint a wall, but you're hiring us so that you have peace of mind,” Matt said. “You don't have to worry about the job being taken care of. All you have to do is call us and you know that we're going to take care of it.”

Groovy Hues provides professional painting, wallpapering and power washing for both residential and commercial spaces. The company also offers line striping for parking lots.

This emphasis on quality customer service sets the company apart from others in the area. The company also provides free estimates to potential customers.

“We want to project openness, transparency, honesty, quality...We want to let the customer know exactly what they’re getting,” Matt said.

Groovy Hues goes above and beyond to provide the best possible job for each customer. In addition to offering wallpaper installation, Groovy Hues makes the experience convenient for its customers by offering to order wallpaper from three different companies.

Matt said staff are on time to every appointment and give customers a thorough estimate, explaining in detail the cost of each service.

“When you get an estimate from another company and they don't walk you through [the process] and show you everything, the customers kind of left at a loss as to what they’re paying for,” Matt said. “We catered our approach based on some of the weaknesses of the other companies that we found.”

Matt said when mistakes are made, the Groovy Hues team is quick to make things right.

“We hired a crew for a certain job for a customer's home and it was a big job,” Matt said. “We hired the wrong crew and after about two days we realized it really fast, so we got our best crew to go out there and in two more days, it was completely fixed. It was completely beautiful and we got a five-star review of it.”

By offering a wide variety of services, Groovy Hues can be a one-stop-shop for local business owners. Matt said when a business owner trusts Groovy Hues to handle multiple projects, it frees them up to do their job instead of having to coordinate with multiple contractors.

Matt said if a restaurant owner needs to find someone to do line striping, power washing and paint the inside of the business, Groovy Hues can do everything they need. This also allows the Groovy Hues team to develop long-term relationships with their clients.

Matt said it’s great to be able to get multiple services done with just one phone call.
