Allen said the cottage's wraparound porch was restored to complement its early 20th-century design, and updates to flooring, plumbing and technology brought the property up to modern standards without sacrificing its vintage appeal.

"Whatever we got to salvage out of it, we did," Allen said.

Inside, antique furnishings, authentic crystal, silver serving pieces and vintage dinnerware add to the original elegant atmosphere.
