Hear in Texas opened a new Dripping Springs location on June 1, expanding access to audiological hearing care in the growing Central Texas community.
“Dripping Springs didn’t have a hearing clinic that follows a medical model,” owner Dr. Sally Miranda said. “Just like we did with New Braunfels, we wanted to bring something the community didn’t have access to—but should.”
What services are offered?
The Dripping Springs location expands access to a full range of hearing-related services for patients of all ages, from infants to older adults. Services include:
- Comprehensive hearing evaluations and pediatric hearing care
- Coordination of cochlear implants across all major manufacturers
- Auditory processing evaluations, tinnitus care, and positional vertigo management
- Hearing aid technology, fittings and repairs, including remote access audiology
- Hearing protection services, such as swim plugs and musician monitors
- Community hearing screenings, education, and outreach
- Earwax removal and preventative hearing care
“As a veteran myself, I understand how important it is for patients to be seen close to home and without unnecessary delays,” said Chief Operating Officer Carlos Miranda. “Our connection with the VA helps make that care more accessible for those who served.”

Why Dripping Springs
The decision to open a Dripping Springs location was driven by the area's rapid growth and accompanying healthcare gaps—particularly the lack of local access to dedicated medical-model hearing care.
As the region expands, so does the demand for specialized healthcare. By establishing a presence here, Hear in Texas brings comprehensive, clinical-grade hearing care directly to residents who would otherwise face long commutes to Austin or other major hubs.
Beyond clinical care, community education is a cornerstone of the clinic's mission. The team regularly hosts screenings, informational sessions and outreach events to raise awareness about long-term hearing health.
What is the medical care model?
At Hear in Texas, hearing care follows a strict medical model where treatment begins with a comprehensive clinical evaluation.
“When you follow a medical model, you’re not starting with a product—you’re starting with the patient,” said Dr. Sally Miranda. “The testing tells us what’s actually going on, and that drives everything we do after that.”
Instead of immediately pushing devices, this diagnostic approach uses objective clinical findings to guide personalized recommendations across multiple manufacturers. The result is precise, individualized care shaped by each patient’s unique hearing needs, lifestyle and long-term health—never a one-size-fits-all solution.

Meet and join the team
As Hear in Texas grows in Dripping Springs, building the right clinical team is as vital as the services provided. The clinic is hiring providers and support staff across Central Texas who favor patient-first care over sales-driven experiences.
“We look for people with great personalities, attention to detail, and strong critical-thinking skills,” said Dr. Sally Miranda. “We want patients to feel like they’re walking into a place that feels welcoming but also highly skilled and very intentional.”

Looking ahead
As Central Texas grows, Hear in Texas plans to grow with it. The organization is exploring opportunities to expand into additional communities while maintaining the medical model approach that guided its move into Dripping Springs.
Part of that growth strategy includes developing future practice owners from within the organization, helping experienced providers open and lead their own Hear in Texas locations.
By pairing expansion with provider development, Hear in Texas hopes to bring specialized hearing care to more communities in the region.
