e3storage is opening its McKinney location June 1, bringing its automotive-focused concept to a space rooted in local history.
Founded in 2010, the company was built to solve the limitations of traditional garages, offering a dedicated environment where enthusiasts can store and maintain their vehicles. At its core, the model blends functionality with community.
The McKinney location continues that approach, offering 24/7 access to a secure facility where members can store everything from motorcycles to collector cars. Inside, shared work areas allow for maintenance and repairs, while lounge spaces, Wi-Fi and a kitchen create an environment where members can settle in for longer visits.
Some members will stop by briefly to check on a vehicle or swap out a car for the weekend, while others might spend hours working on projects, researching repairs or even logging into meetings, using the space as a work-from-home alternative.
That sense of community extends beyond the physical space, as people can collaborate on projects, share knowledge and build relationships through a shared interest in cars.
In one instance at a different location, members came together to complete a restoration project after a fellow member passed away, finishing the car in his honor.
A historic space, reimagined
Located within the historic Cotton Mill, the McKinney facility repurposes the former TUPPS Brewery building into a space that continues its legacy as a gathering place.
Much of the building’s original character remains intact. Industrial steel elements, architectural details and existing artwork, such as an outdoor sculpture and plaque, have been preserved. Even design elements, such as the original structure and finishes, were intentionally maintained to reflect the building’s past.
A mezzanine overlooking the storage floor offers members a place to step back and take in the collection of vehicles below, reinforcing the space as both functional and social.
“We love being a part of the history and the restoration of the Cotton Mill and the old Tupps Brewery facility,” e3storage co-founder Clyde Hill said.
That connection to the past carries into how the space is used today. Just as TUPPS Brewery did, e3storage is prioritizing community events. It has already hosted its first car meet, with plans for additional events such as car club gatherings, tech sessions and organized drives.
Members will also have access to the broader Cotton Mill community, including shared amenities like meeting spaces and on-site gathering areas, further extending the experience beyond the garage.

Members can start with a base access membership, which provides entry to the facility and use of shared amenities, including the lounge, work areas and equipment. From there, they can add storage options depending on each member’s needs, ranging from space for a single vehicle to larger setups for multiple cars, tools or trailers.
