Located on Timber Lane in Conroe, Angels Loft Resale, a charity resale shop run by Montgomery County-based nonprofit Angel Reach, has provided a place for locals to shop for great deals on clothing, furniture and home goods, while funding life-changing programs for foster youth entering adulthood.
What is Angel Reach?
Since 2004, Angel Reach has helped foster care youth and foster families with basic needs. The organization achieved nonprofit status in 2008, and in 2011, expanded to aid youth who had aged out of the foster care system.
The nonprofit achieves its mission of service through housing and food assistance, counseling, life-skills support and other services designed to help young adults ages 18-24.
The organization began in a small house in Conroe, and Angels Loft Resale began in a small closet, store lead Stormy Owen said. The small collection of clothing for Angel Reach program participants eventually grew into a full-scale resale operation that now offers affordable finds for the entire community.
What is for sale at Angels Loft Resale?
Today, Angels Loft sells and accepts gently used donations of:
Clothing for men, women and children
Accessories and jewelry
Furniture, including couches, TVs, dressers, dining tables and antiques
Home goods, including lamps, dishes and various decor items
Electronics in working condition
Owen said they receive new items every day. The store also offers free furniture pickup services, making it easier for residents to donate larger items.
The affordable prices at Angels Loft also play a role in moving inventory and, in turn, continuing to fund vital Angel Reach programs. The shop offers Senior Days discounts—20% off for shoppers 55 and up—on Wednesdays, and regular fill-a-bag sales are popular on Fridays.

The impact is felt by all community members, community shoppers and Angel Reach youth alike.
“Our customers come back time and time again because of the love that we show them. We're definitely a store of our own,” Owen said. “There's no other resale store like ours because of the love and the compassion and the heart that we have for our customers, for the aged-out foster care kids, for everyone that walks through our door.”
As foster youth begin their adult lives, rather than starting from scratch, Angels Loft provides a one-stop shop for essentials needed to create homes of their own.
During their time with Angel Reach, program participants can visit the store for what they need, whether it’s attire for a job interview or a couch for their first apartment.
Owen tells one success story of two young adults who met through an Angel Reach program, graduated and later moved in together. They returned to Angels Loft to furnish their first home.
“They were able to come in and get a TV, get a couch, get a dining room table, she got dishes and she was just ecstatic,” Owen said. “This was their first house together … they had been working hard and saving their money for their new apartment, and they were really excited.”

Community involvement remains central to Angels Loft’s success. Volunteers are vital to the store’s operations, helping sort donations, organize merchandise, assist customers and prepare items for the sales floor.
