Voters in the Austin Community College District will choose candidates this November for three of the nine seats on the ACC Board of Trustees. The board positions are at-large seats, elected by voters throughout the taxing district for six-year terms to provide leadership for the community college. Dr. Barbara P. Mink was first elected to the ACC Board of Trustees in 2000, then re-elected in 2006 and 2012, and elected Chair of the board in 2017. In the election for Place 7 on the board, Mink will face Mitch Fuller, a former Cedar Park City Council member and mayor pro tem who served the city from 2007 to 2014. Check back Friday for a Q&A with Place 8 candidates Douglas Gibbins, Stephanie Gharakhanian and Sarah Mills. On Monday, Community Impact Newspaper will feature a Q&A with Place 9 candidates Julie Ann Nitsch and Lora H. Weber.
