Organic roaster debuts new products
Third Coast Coffee plans to introduce a new kind of coffee from Peru by Valentine's Day.
Third Coast's importing cooperative has been collaborating with a group in Peru about producing natural coffee, which is essentially sun-dried before it is processed and also contains berry flavors, Manager Clay Roper said.
"What's special about this new coffee is that this is not a common thing to get from Peru anymore, and members of our co-op are going to be the only ones that have this particular coffee," Roper said.
Roper said the company also introduced a line of cold-brew coffee concentrate in bottles available for its retail customers. The coffee is on tap at Ingredients, a bulk-only grocery store in East Austin, he said.
