Area nonprofit Austin Classical Guitar received a $11,500 grant from the Texas Bar Foundation to help provide guitar classes for court-involved youth in Travis County. The classical guitar education organization provides for-credit classroom guitar programs in nearly 60 Austin-area schools, including Parkside School; St. Gabriel’s Catholic School; the Travis County Juvenile Justice Center; Akins, Bowie and Crockett high schools; Bedichek, Gorzycki and Paredes middle schools; and Cunningham, Joslin, Kiker and Pleasant Hill elementary schools. www.austinclassicalguitar.org
