New tenant joins Southwest Medical Center

Southwest Medical Village, a medical office building composed of health care providers and family medicine practices, welcomed a new tenant earlier this summer.

Formerly occupied by Stonegate Pharmacy, Blue Haven Pharmacy moved into 5625 Eiger Road, Ste. 150 on June 1, according to Dr. Bob Olivares, pharmacy manager and owner.

Pharmacists will fill prescription medications as well as provide private counseling services, pain-management support and more.

“Our goal is to be a one-stop shopping center for our patients,” Olivares said.

Specialty Clinic of Austin-Psychiatry, formerly Specialty Clinic of Austin, underwent a name change in June, Office Manager Sharon Caruso said.

As a mental health group the clinic offers comprehensive assessments, formal diagnoses, and medication evaluation and management services. The office is located in Suite 215.

“We added “psychiatry” to be more specific,” Caruso said. “A lot of people don’t know our specialty.”

A number of other medical offices are also functioning out of the facility, including Premier Family Physicians.
