Data drives strength training, nutrition plans

When Southwest Austin husband-and-wife team John and Alexa Rabb heard about Koko FitClub, they fell in love with the concept immediately, Alexa said.
Koko, which combines the use of strength-training and cardio workout machines with digital tracking technology, opened its first gym in Massachusetts in 2007. Gym members get customized workout and nutrition plans as well as a USB drive called a Koko Key they plug in to a machine before starting each exercise session.
