Data released this week from the Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority shows more drivers are choosing to use the new southbound MoPac express lane during the morning commute. The southbound lane opened to traffic Oct. 28, three weeks after the Oct. 7 full opening of the northbound lane. Overall, more drivers are using the MoPac express lanes on the northbound side to commute home in the afternoon. Reddit user GingerMan512 captured his first trip on the southbound MoPac express lane Tuesday, paying $3.46. He reported it saved him about 10 minutes compared with a typical commute.
