South Austin community members can look forward to several interactive events and fundraisers this November including a comedy festival, a veterans dinner and dance and a local performance of “The Nutcracker.” This list is not comprehensive. Event details are subject to change.
Tim Burton’s 'The Nightmare Before Christmas' Light Trail
Attendees can look forward to an immersive experience featuring scenes, music and video projections transforming Austin into Halloween Town and Christmas Town. The attraction is only available in New York City and Austin.
The largest annual fundraiser for the Dripping Springs Helping Hands food pantry returns where attendees can pick a handmade ceramic bowl to enjoy soup and take home. The event will also feature live music and raffles.

Well-known and on-the-rise stand up comedians will perform live standup with a mix of live music. Participating comedians include Morgan Jay, Robby Hoffman, William Montgomery and more.

Participants can ride routes between 13 and 100 miles to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Association’s efforts in supporting Alzheimer's research. Community members interested in helping without cycling can volunteer for various positions including water stations, cheerleading and registration.

Community members can see what The Yard has to offer while enjoying specials from local businesses including a Spicy Pickle Chicken Fingers on a Stick, Cheeseburger Taquitos, Churro Infused American Lager and a Pumpkin Spice Cannoli.
Hosted by Rotary Club of Dripping Springs, veterans and their families will enjoy a program dedicated to honoring veterans combined with a catered dinner and live dance music provided by Alex Dormont and the Hot Texas Swing Band.

Stronger Together: An Event for Military Families With Kids Ages 8-15
Military families can engage in activities and workshop sessions focused on creating trust, cooperation and joy. Attendees will also be served dinner before workshops begin at 6 p.m.

The Austin holiday season staple is coming back to town with in-person and virtual shopping options where community members can check out original works perfect for holiday gift shopping while supporting local art.
Interested individuals can participate in the race in a variety of ways, including the timed or untimed 5-mile run, 1-mile walk/run or the kids' 1K. The event will benefit nonprofit Caritas of Austin, which works toward preventing and ending homelessness in Austin by providing homes and tailored services.
