Beginning June 15, Extend-A-Care YMCA will be hosting in-person day camps at 16 locations in Travis and Hays counties, including four in South Austin and four in Hays County.
The sessions will be able to accommodate about 500 individuals, and camps will run from June 15-Aug. 7 for children ages 4-12. Camps are held from 7:15 a.m.-6:30 p.m. and will cost $195 per week, according to a news release by YMCA of Austin. Residents who are interested can sign up here.
Camps will be taking safety precautions to slow the spread of COVID-19, including limiting classes to 10 individuals, enforcing social distancing and requiring staff to wear masks and gloves. Children who are 7 years old or over will also be required to wear a mask when indoors, and temperatures will be taken as children arrive to camp.
