A South Austin dog walking and pet care business will move into a new location next year, according to its owner.
What's happening
Walk! ATX Pet Care, a locally owned and operated full-service pet care company, is slated to begin construction on its new location off of William Cannon Drive sometime this summer.
Owner Britton "Britt" Danton said they are still in the early stages but expect to break ground later this year. He said construction should take eight months to a year to complete.
Since it is ground-up construction, Danton said the new facility will be an upgraded version of their current location, 7710 Cloudberry Circle, Austin, with new kennels and a larger space for dogs to run around. He said it will be Walk! ATX's new flagship location with the original location serving as a specialty pet boarding spot.
What they offer
Danton established Walk! ATX in 2008 and has built the business to be a "one-stop shop for all things pet care" including dog walking services, training, grooming, daycare and boarding, pet sitting, pet transportation and more.
