South Austin's Asian food scene will be growing when a new Korean barbecue spot opens at Southpark Meadows.

Gen Korean BBQ House is expected to open in the third quarter of 2025, according to a statement from the company. This will be the second Gen Korean BBQ House location in Austin. The cook-it-yourself restaurant opened within The Linc shopping center in North Austin in March.
Gen Korean BBQ House will open in the former Crawfish ATX building near Johnny Carino's at the shopping center. Crawfish ATX reopened next to Jason's Deli at Southpark Meadows after being closed for a year.
