A Nashville-based Neapolitan pizza joint will open its first South Austin location later this year.
The gist
DeSano Pizza is slated to open next to the AT&T Store in the Circle C Ranch neighborhood in late summer.
Austin franchise owner Jimmy Fitzgerald said the cell phone store used to occupy the entire building, but it downsized to a single suite last year. DeSano Pizza will open next door and add an outdoor patio.
What they offer
DeSano Pizza serves Italian and Italian-American pizza, calzones and salads.
According to its website, the restaurant makes pizza following the guidelines of Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana, an Italian nonprofit organization promoting the worldwide production of true Neapolitan pizza.
The South Austin pizzeria will have dine-in community seating and pickup and delivery options. The restaurant also hosts Pizza School classes for date nights, friend and family outings and corporate experiences.
DeSano Pizza first opened in Austin on Burnet Road in 2016 and later opened downtown.
