A Wimberley-based veterinary clinic opened its doors in South Austin Aug. 26.

What they offer

Apollo Veterinary, a privately owned open-concept vet clinic, was founded by Mike Walker in Wimberley in 2021. Robin Allen and Claire Landwehr operate the newly opened Austin clinic located on South First Street. This is the business’ second location.

According to Chrissy Robinson, client concierge at the South Austin location, “open-concept” means pet owners have access to their pet at all times during an Apollo Veterinary visit. Robinson said the clinic emphasizes transparency and client education.

The clinic has seven exam rooms, private “comfort” rooms, a pharmacy and kennels. Robinson said Apollo vets provide “fear-free work” for dogs and cats, including x-rays, dental care, surgeries, pet dermatology, spay and neuter services, end-of-life care, and more.
