The city of Kyle is kicking off a series of five virtual open houses geared toward informing voters about the upcoming $37 million bond election for a new public safety center.
The bond proposal seeks voter approval for Proposition A to finance the construction of a public safety center that will support the growing community. In light of COVID-19, the city has decided to defer any tax rate impact as a result of this bond until October 2021.
Information from the city states the virtual open houses will be held from 7-8 p.m. every Thursday evening from Sept. 17 through Oct. 8 and on Oct. 13.
“All open houses will present on the proposed Public Safety Center at the beginning of the event and allot time for attendees to ask questions at the end,” the release states.
