As part of its ongoing search for a new police chief, the city of San Marcos is inviting residents to a meet and greet event for the two remaining candidates, Robert Brown and Stan Standridge.
The event will be Oct. 14 from 5:30-7 p.m. at the Embassy Suites San Marcos Conference Center, Spring Lake Salon, located at 1001 E. McCarty Lane.
Information from the city states masks are required inside the hotel and conference center, but they may be removed when eating and drinking. Proper social distancing is also required for attendees.
Brown has been chief of the Duncanville Police Department since 2007 and began his career in Waco, according to city information.
