Ruggedman Brewing, 6700 S. Old Bastrop Highway, San Marcos, opened in mid-January. The brewery creates a variety of beers in-house on a seven-barrel brewing system. Popular beers include an India pale ale and stout. The business is owned and operated by John Wamer and Randy Williams, two U.S. Marine Corps veterans. The brewery is open Friday 2-10 p.m., Saturday noon-10 p.m., and Sunday noon-6 p.m. Mi Ranchito Barbecue, a food truck, is on site on Fridays and Saturdays.
